Does Money Grow On Trees? Park Maintenance Funding 101

Do you know how your local park system is funded? Do you have questions about the long-term sustainability of your neighborhood park? The Cosumnes CSD Parks and Recreation Department will provide answers at Park Maintenance Funding 101 on Aug. 22 and Sept. 29.

Park Maintenance Funding 101 is a FREE seminar for Elk Grove residents who want to better understand park and public landscape funding. Steve Sims, CSD Parks Superintendent, and Rachele Manges, CSD Management Analyst, will answer all of your questions about “Landscape and Lighting” assessments and explain how your money is used to manage 1,000 acres of land, including 97 parks and miles of streetscapes and trails in Elk Grove.

The seminar will be offered at the Wackford Complex on two dates: Wednesday, Aug. 22 from 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 29 from 9 - 11 a.m.  Advanced registration is required.

Register online, by calling 916-405-5600, or at a CSD registration location.
