The Cosumnes Community Services District Board of Directors has elected Jim Luttrell as the new Board President to serve in 2021. Jaclyn Moreno was elected to serve as Vice-President.
Having served as Board Vice-President in 2020, Luttrell understands the leadership needed to fill the role as president.
Luttrell worked for the Sacramento Fire Department for over 30 years and retired as a Captain. He was president of the Board of Directors for the Firefighters Burn Institute and Firefighters Local 522. Born and raised in the Sacramento area, he has resided in Elk Grove since 1980. He and his wife Linda have been married for 46 years.
Moreno and her family have lived in Elk Grove for over 15 years. She engages in a variety of community service projects and owns and operates a local small-business as a school psychologist supporting special education students in public schools. Moreno says her two young daughters have blossomed because of their active involvement in many Cosumnes CSD programs.
The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Cosumnes Community Services District. The Board is responsible for formulating and approving policies for the operation, control, administration, and planning of the District’s facilities and activities.
The Board is comprised of five duly-elected or appointed residents. The Directors are elected or appointed by-division in five single-member divisions to a term of four years, unless appointed or elected to serve a remaining term. At the beginning of each year, the Board selects from its members a President and Vice-President to serve during the ensuing year.
