Elk Grove, Calif. – Cosumnes Community Services District Parks and Recreation Administrator Joshua Green has been named Acting General Manager. Green steps in for departing General Manager Maureen Zamarripa, who recently announced her retirement effective April 1.
Green joined the District in December 2017 from the City of Portland’s Parks Bureau, bringing 17 years of experience in the field of Parks and Recreation. As a member of the Executive Team, he has worked closely with Zamarripa and has developed a strong understanding of District operations and management systems.
“It was a unanimous decision,” said Board President Gil Albiani. “Josh has the strong professional background, leadership skills and organizational knowledge needed for this expanded opportunity.”
“I am honored to have the trust of the board and I will continue to work with Fire Chief McLaughlin to ensure we invest in our talented employees and provide quality services to our diverse community,” said Green.
The board will determine the process to recruit and fill the General Manager position which may include a nation-wide search.
