Benefit Zone Information


Benefit Zone 9 - Waterman/Park Village, consists of 3 geographic areas with 4 parks totaling 21 acres.

In addition, there are 64 acres of streetscapes and trails. Waterman/Park Village is fully built out with no additional parks planned.

Assets are located in one of the 3 areas described below:

  • Area 9A of Waterman/Park Village Benefit Zone is southwest of Sheldon Road and Elk Grove Florin Road.
  • Area 9B of Waterman/Park Village Benefit Zone is southwest of Bond Road and Waterman Road.
  • Area 9C of Waterman/Park Village Benefit Zone is northeast of East Stockton Boulevard and Hampton Oak Drive.

Projects

Listed below are the 2018-2019 fiscal year projects staff anticipate completing. Projects are subject to change due to weather and/or unforeseen budgetary changes.

  • Softball/baseball infields will be graded and leveled.
  • Basketball court will be resurfaced at Mix park.
  • Tennis courts will be resurfaced at Mix and Van Doren Parks.
  • Bocce Ball court will be renovated at Van Doren Park.
  • Landscape bark will be applied to planter beds.
  • Sidewalks will be repaired or replaced throughout the zone.
  • 2 picnic tables, 3 benches and 1 barbeque will be replaced at Hill Park.
  • 2 benches in Van Doren Park will be replaced.
  • Irrigation upgrades will occur in a streetscapes and a park.
  • The Hill Park restroom floor will be resealed.
  • The Hill Park restroom will be painted. 
  • Drinking fountains will be replaced at Mix Park (1) and Hill Park (1).

Capital Improvement Projects

  • McConnell Park and Playground Revitalization - Replacement of existing ball field and open turf with new park improvements, including shade structure, picnic area, nature garden, walking trail, adult fitness station and basketball (half court).
