While retaining a significant portion of the historically-significant brick exterior walls, much of the damaged roof, building systems and interiors will be replaced with new construction in order to transform the building into contemporary and energy-efficient office space.
MFDB Architects, Inc. developed a comprehensive design plan that will better use the existing square footage, modernize the space, and provide amenities that are desirable to staff. Diede Construction, Inc. began project construction in June 2017 with an estimated 1.5 year construction period.
Construction on the Administration Building Remodel Project has been steady throughout the year. The building mechanical plumbing and electrical are complete. Contractors are currently installing dry wall and windows while masonry work in the front and back locations of the building are being installed. The masonry work will support building signage, exterior walls, planters and a ramp. The bridge infrastructure to connect the center area of the building to the west area of the building is now complete. As work progresses on the building, contractors are improving the parking lot asphalt, installation of two fire hydrants and curbs.
