Teen Action Committee (TAC) for High School Students

TAC is a group of high school students that works as a team to create positive opportunities for Elk Grove teens.  TAC members organize community service projects, create events for teens, and learn to become better leaders in the process! Members are selected to participate in TAC through an annual juried application process.

Dive In Movie Night

Wackford Community Complex


Join us for a night of swimming, hanging with friends, and watching a movie at the Wackford Aquatics Complex. Teens will have access to each of the pool amenities including the water slide, pools, and grass area for lawn games! This event is open ONLY to teens. You must have a valid school ID to enter.

The cost is $5 per person or FREE for Teen Center Members.

We will only be open to the first 100 people to RSVP. 


  • RSVP is needed for this event. RSVP onlinePayment will be taken the day of the event.

What should I bring?

  • Valid High School or Middle School ID
  • Swimsuit
  • Towel
  • Change of clothes
  • Blankets or Lawn Chairs (for the movie)
  • Money for concesssions

Meetings & Events

TAC members meet every other week to discuss current youth trends and plan positive events that better their community. Past events and activities include an open mic night, a teen film festival, and resume workshops.

TAC Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be an Elk Grove resident in the 9th-12th grades for the current academic year
  • Must commit to a 1-year term (September to June)
  • Must submit a completed TAC application form and supplemental questionnaire

TAC Participation Requirements

  • Able to adhere to the attendance policy
  • Able to work cooperatively and in a team environment
  • Adhere to all rules set forth in the TAC bylaws
