Teen Afterschool Program

The Grove Teen Center afterschool program, which operates from 3 pm to 6 pm, Monday through Thursday; 2pm to 6pm on Friday (closed holidays, observed holidays and staff in-service days) offers exciting daily activities such as:

  • Active outdoor games and sports
  • Creative art projects
  • Cooking projects
  • Service opportunities
  • Social clubs
  • Project based clubs
  • Video Games
  • Basketball, Pool, Fooseball
  • The Grove Teen Center

    Registration Information

    Annual membership fee is $125 valid thru August 2018 - May 2019. Registration now can be completed online or in person at the Wackford Complex and CSD Main Office. The Grove After School Program begins August 16th.  The Grove Teen Center is the largest teen recreation facility features: a snack bar, video games consoles, flat screen TV's, outdoor patio and much much more!

    After School Program & Teen Taxi

    The Grove offers a FREE teen taxi service for students who attend Toby Johnson, Elizabeth Pinkerton, or Harriet Eddy middle schools. Every day after school, The Grove staff will pick-up in front of the school and drop-off at The Grove. The purpose of this service is to provide transportation to participants who are attending The Grove After School Program. To take advantage of this service, you must be registered in The Grove Teen Center After School Program. Teen Taxi Registration is limited. First come, first served.

    Friday Night Events for Teens

    Looking for something fun to do on a Friday night? Teen Programs hosts a fun-filled "Late Night at The Grove" event just for teens, quarterly from 6 pm to 9 pm. These events are free to all teen center members. Past events have included cooking projects, game nights, movie nights, open gym and themed parties.

    What You Need to Know: Marijuana Today

    Learn how cannabis can impact a young person's development. Find out what parents can do to prevent underage use and provide youth with what to say to peers when resisting pressure to use. This will help individuals whose lives are impacted by this drug. The event is not about legalization or medical marijuana.
