Wackford Aquatic Complex

The Wackford Aquatic Complex is your community water park and aquatic complex that is incomparable to anything in the area. This community water park is so much more than your average swimming pool and it's apart of the Wackford Community Complex. Home to the 45-foot long by 9-foot high inflatable called Double Trouble, as well as the 160-foot single rider waterslide called Typhoon Tower.

The water park has 3 pools with unique attractions in all of them:

  • Splash Island is our shallow water wading pool (less than 2 feet/1meter) with interactive splash playground that is perfect for our younger guest.
  • Adventure Bay is a shallow-water pool (less than 5 feet/1.5 meters) with a beach style entry and is home to Typhoon Tower as well as in-water play attractions Topsy Turvy, Rainbow Burst, and Infinity Falls.
  • Deep Xtreme is a deep-water pool (more than 7 feet / 2 meters) that is home to the inflatable obstacle course, Double Trouble, as well as X1 (low diving board) and X3 (high diving board). It is a 10-lane by 25 yard competition pool that can host swim meets, practices, and fitness programs.
The water park also has plenty of deck and grass space, lounge chairs and shade structures.

Aqua Café

The Aqua Café serves up delicious food, snacks, beverages, and frozen treats.

Maintenance of the aquatic complex is done by certified operators that take pride in maintaining clean and safe water.

Water Safety

Water safety is very important and the CSD is proud of the young men and women that serve as lifeguards in our community. Water safety begins before you arrive at the pool so please read and review the pool rules (PDF) with your family. Age and height restrictions do apply for entry and some attraction use. Please remember that water safety and drowning prevention is a TEAM effort and not just the responsibility of the lifeguards.

The Wackford Aquatic Complex is the home pool for the Laguna Creek High School Swimming and Water Polo Teams and Franklin High School Swimming and Water Polo Teams.

The Cosumnes CSD takes great pride in providing a safe and clean facility for all of our guests to enjoy.  In the event of pool contamination, staff will close the affected pool while following CA Code of Regulations Title 22: Chapter 20 for Swimming Pools with contamination response that will last 30-50 minutes.

Weather is unpredictable and should severe weather threaten the safety of guests and staff during scheduled program hours, the pool will be closed for a minimum of 30 minutes and will reopen when deemed safe to operate. In the event of a black out, the pool will be closed until electricity is reestablished and filtration & chemical systems are confirmed to be operational.
