Pools Now Open for Summer 2020 Season!

Are you ready to make a SPLASH? The Wackford Aquatic Complex and Elk Grove Aquatics Center will resume operations for Recreation Swim on July 3. This news comes after the June 12 Sacramento County Public Health Order which allows public swimming pools to open, with strict social distancing and other requirements. Note: Jerry Fox Swim Center will remain closed for the Summer 2020 season.


Wackford Aquatic Complex

    • Weekdays: July 10 - August 11
    • Weekends: July 11 - September 6

Elk Grove Aquatics Center

Recreation Swim will be offered in 2-hour sessions.

  • Age 4 & Under: FREE
  • Age 5+: $6


  • Presale tickets can be purchased online or by phone 916-405-5600.
  • Capacity will be limited. Advanced registration is strongly advised.
  • Please wait in the designated Presale line upon arrival.
  • Presale for Recreation Swim sessions will be released in WAVES every Tuesday at 1 p.m.

General Admission

  • General admission tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. 
  • Please wait in the designated General Admission line upon arrival.


To comply with the Sacramento County Public Health Order, visitors must follow these guidelines:

  • Maintain at least 6 feet of distance from others while in the facility, including when waiting in line, using the restroom, and in the water.
  • Wear a face covering while occupying indoor areas (such as restrooms), while in line at the Wackford Complex, and when unable to maintain at least 6 feet of distance from others. Face coverings are not required while in the water.
  • Arrive ready to swim. Restrooms and outdoor showers will be available, but lockers will not be available.
  • Restrooms may be closed periodically for cleaning and disinfecting.
  • Equipment will not be provided (kickboards, pull buoys, deck chairs and loungers). We invite you to bring your own seating.
  • No loitering before or after swimming sessions.

Because the situation continues to evolve rapidly, the District may reevaluate and decide to modify these measures or schedules based on guidance from public health officials.
