Fall Swim Clinic

​Program Information


Come experience recreational competitive swimming with quality coaches that will assist you with stroke development, technique, drills, and conditioning while promoting an enjoyable swimming atmosphere. This is not a learn-to-swim program but builds upon the philosophies of competitive recreation swimming. Open for existing and new swimmers interested in trying the swim team experience.

*Registration for this program is limited. Please look at the Late Fall Swim Clinic or Winter Swim Clinics for opportunity to participate.
Competitive Swim Program
  • Ages 4-18
  • Wackford Aquatic Complex
  • Coaches: Elk Grove Piranhas led by Brenda Smart

Prerequisites


  • Beginner Swim Clinic: Swim 25 yards of freestyle with side breathing unassisted and without stopping
  • Intermediate Swim Clinic: Swim 25 yards with side breathing unassisted without stopping, must have knowledge of other 3 competitive strokes 
  • Intro to Swim Team Clinic: Swim all 4 competitive strokes

Beginner Swim Clinic

Coaches will provide conditioning, training and introduce the participants to the three competitive strokes besides freestyle (i.e. backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly).

Intermediate Swim Clinic

Coaches will provide conditioning, training, and build upon a swimmer's technical skills to improve stoke technique, and learn legal turns for all four competitive strokes.

Intro to Swim Team Clinic

For intermediate to advance swimmers wanting to experience a swim conditioning program that introduces the expectations and training of a swim team program. Swimmers will work on gaining proficiency and improving stroke technique, learning legal turns, and receiving consistent conditioning throughout the program.
