Sports and Fitness
-
Water Aerobics
Water Aerobics 'Adapted' is designed for persons with disabilities. Burn calories and tone muscles,
while getting some fresh air! The water offers more resistance than dry-land workouts, prevents the
body from overheating, and is less demanding on the joints. Participants must feel comfortable in
deep water.
- Swim Lessons
Our adapted swim lesson program is designed for children and adults with disabilities. Participants will
receive one on one instruction at their own level with an experienced instructor.
-
Open Gym
It doesn't matter if you're an old pro or a rookie, come play multiple sports while enjoying a
non-competitive environment.
- Dance for Fitness
Participants will learn basic dance and fitness skills. Students will be encouraged to participate in both
structures and free movement exercises.

Leisure Education
-
Beginning Sign Language
Come on in and let your eyes become your ears, and your hands your voice! Students in the Beginning
Sign Language course will learn the basics needed to hold a conversation with a Deaf or Hard of
Hearing individual. Classes will be taught using a variety of activities including: games, videos,
and lots of 'hands on'. A $5 supply fee is payable to the instructor the first day of class.
-
Intermediate Sign Language
Intermediate Sign Language will expand upon the basics and provide students with an intermediate level of
conversational sign language along with exposure to the Deaf culture. A $10 supply fee is payable to the
instructor the first day of class.
