Announcement: Board meeting schedule change
Beginning with its January 2, 2008 board meeting, the CSD Board of Directors will begin holding its regular board meetings on the first and third Wednesdays of every month, instead of on Tuesdays.

YOUTH SPECIAL INTEREST CLASSES

Cosumnes CSD offers a number of special interest classes and activities for children.

Let's Get Cooking
Parents, grab your kids for an evening of culinary fun. Kids who help plan and cook meals become more adventurous in their eating habits and more appreciative of the planning and work it takes to cook and clean up for a meal. All children must be accompanied by one adult.

Abrakidabra Abra"kid"abra - Magic for Kids
Magic is fun! Amaze your family and friends with your new found abilities. You will learn tricks that are easy to do, and yet completely baffling. Instructor is a professional Magician with 12 years of experience.

Crazy Chemworks
Students will learn about atoms and reactions, acids and bases, chemical bonds, glow-in-the-dark and much more in this whirlwind exploration of various fields of chemistry. Interactive, hands-on activities include the Slime Olympics, Phantastic pH Phestival and catching clouds.

Sportsbots with LEGO
Design and build motorized electric powered sports bots to compete in rousing games of soccer, hockey, basketball, football, quidditch, and bocce, among others. You may also invent your own sport. Instruction will be provided by Play-well TEKnologies staff, but familiarity with LEGO Technic is desirable.
