3-5 yrs.
Cost: $5 per participant
An awareness and appreciation program introducing preschoolers to the inhabitants of creeks, open space, wetlands, and the importance of caring for and preserving "their" creek system in Elk Grove. Building upon the natural curiosity that children have for mammals, birds, invertebrates, and aquatic and plant life, the Junior Creek Keepers curriculum focuses on age appropriate hands-on games, activities and projects. This instills a sense of responsibility in the participants to care for the natural resources in their own neighborhoods.
