JR. LIFEGUARD PROGRAM

Pool rules
Ages 11-15
A community-based water safety program for youth ages 11-12 and 13-15. It uniquely combines rescue skills, emergency response, aquatic safety, leadership, teamwork, and a foundation for skill development. Training consists of classroom work, lectures, video presentations, and team building activities. Upon completion of the course, each student will receive a certificate as a CSD Jr. Lifeguard.
* Selected Jr. Guards will be invited to attend "Golden Guards" August 2-5 from 9am-3pm.

Prerequisites: Swim 100-yards freestyle, retrieve a 10 lb. brick from 7 ft. of
water, and
tread water for 1-minute.

Thank you to all the Jr. Guards that participated in this year program. It was a great summer and we hope that you had as much fun each day as we did. Hopefully you will continue to use the skills learned during the program and consider becoming a CSD Lifeguard at age 16. Congratulations!
