some of our popular special events.
The Oak trees, wildlife, lake, and green-space at Elk Grove Regional Park provide a beautiful setting for
outdoor family gatherings, picnics, company events and special events. Let your dog romp in the off-leash
dog park or come out and relax while grilling those perfect burgers and
steaks. Don't forget to bring your fishing pole because the lake is stocked with trout in the winter and
catfish in the summer.

Picnic Sites at Elk Grove Regional Park
For rental details, download our Rental Application and Fee Schedule.
Please note that changes to facility rental rates took effect on July 1, 2007.
Currently, ten picnic sites are available for reservations and four sites are always first come first serve. We
also have about two-dozen small tables and nine grills scattered around the picnic areas that are always free. Most
of our rental and first come first serve sites are shady and have grills. To guarantee your party, reserve one of
our sites and we will hold it for your party. If you decide to visit the park at the last minute you can still enjoy
one of our first come first serve sites, but you may want to arrive early because they are popular.

Picnic Sites Available for Reservation
|

Picnic Site 3-A
|
Easy Set Ups & Near Restrooms: Sites 1-A, 1-B, 3-A or 9-A. Fees: $75
These are ideal for gatherings of 25-150 people. They are close to restrooms, and have convenient parking which
makes unloading easy. They are great for children's birthday parties, family reunions, and groups that want a
beautiful park setting, with minimal cost and effort. Sites 1A, 1B, and 9A are fabulous for kids parties because
they are near our brand new playground.

Picnic Site 3-B
|
Great Bargains: Sites 3-B and 6-A. Fees: $75
These two sites may be our best bargains due to roominess, cost and green-space. For those wanting space and
privacy, site 3B is set deeply in a semi-private spacious green field, but to enjoy the privacy and green-space,
prepare to carry your equipment approximately 40 yards. 6A is one of our most functional and popular sites, and
is next to the lake with a little less privacy, but lots of room with a short carry distance. Both sites are in
close proximity to two restrooms.
|
|
Privacy and/or Green-Space with Electricity: Sites 3-C and 7. Fees: $200
For those who want a little more, site 3C offers tons of table space, a short carry-distance, a huge field behind
it and is next to a restroom. It is a great place for an outdoor event, yet requires a minimum of effort. Site 7
is perfect for the large family reunion, or company party that wants lots of green-space in a natural setting.
Site 7 is near the lake, and very shady in a peaceful park setting, but in order to have the space and privacy
there is a carry distance of about 30 yards, and nearly a 60 yard walk to a restroom.

Picnic Site 3-C

Rotary Grove
|
Company Parties with Electricity: Sites 9-B and Rotary Grove. Fees: $400
Two terrific sites for corporate parties, fundraisers, or big family reunions. Rotary Grove has lattice covering,
lots of tables and grills, dedicated parking, a concrete driveway load-in, and green-space nearly the size of a
football field. Restrooms are about 75 yards away, so some of the larger parties order a portable unit or two. It
is south of the lake and very private. Site 9-B provides a dance slab, easy load in, restrooms, green-space galore,
and is next to the pool so bring your swimsuits. You can also rent the softball field next to it as a package deal,
just read below.

First Come First Serve Sites
|

Jerry Fox Swim Center
|
Area 4: Areas 4-A and 4-B are both beautiful large sites with rich green space, and large
tables and large grills. By far they are our most popular first come first serve sites, but come early because they
are sometimes taken quickly.
Site 6-B: A charming site that is great for fishing with your son or daughter, or
to just relax by the lake. It has ample shade and a small table and grill.
Area 10: At the entrance of the park, this site is next to Gray Diamond and offers a medium
sized table and 2 small grills. Easy load in and load out.

Highlights of Park Guidelines
|

|
Driving Vehicles on the Lawn: Keeping Elk Grove Regional Park beautiful and green requires
that we do not allow vehicles on the lawn.
Inflatable Jump-Houses: Inflatable jump-house guidelines have been issued. Renters and
vendors are both responsible for knowing the guidelines and for any damages caused by jump-houses.
Games with Large Volumes of Water: Dunk-tanks and water-slides are strictly prohibited due
to the damage they cause to the turf, but squirt guns and water balloons are always allowed.
Picnic Sites with Electricity: Site 3C and site 7 each have one standard electrical outlet.
Site 9-B has an electrical panel with standard outlets and one-220 volt outlet. Rotary Grove has 5 standard outlets
on site. You are welcome to use the electrical outlets but Park Maintenance cannot correct a power outage. If the
success of your event is dependant on electricity then generators are strongly recommended.
Wildlife in the Park: There is an amazing variety of wildlife that enhance the park and we
welcome everyone to enjoy them. Please treat them with courtesy while enjoying them from a safe distance.
