Machado Dairy Park

LOCATION	10394 Franklin High Road (EAST FRANKLIN)
DESCRIPTION	This park will include a soccer field, large picnic area, adult fitness, half-court basketball, open grassed area, jogging trail and restrooms. Two separate farm themed play areas are planned: a 2-5 year old area and a 5-12 year old area.
PROGRESS	The park was dedicated on Thursday, October 11, 2007. The CSD would like to thank all of the volunteers and residents who participated in the celebration, design and development of this park.
BIOGRAPHY	The Machado family has contributed greatly to the community life and activities of Elk Grove, Franklin and Laguna as well as to the agricultural industry, the local schools and the businesses of the area. The Machado Family farmed on the same land for the past five decades and took every opportunity to give back to the community. The dairy offered stable jobs for adults, provided 4-H programs for high school students, and was an excellent field trip location for elementary and preschool students.
