| DESCRIPTION |
Bartholomew Sports Park was master planned in 2003 with consultation of local sports organizations.
This park includes four lighted multi-purpose fields; three lighted softball/baseball
fields, four tennis courts, shade structures, playground equipment, restrooms, parking lot for 480
vehicles and a concession building.

| BIOGRAPHY |
Hal Bartholomew's involvement in the community of Elk Grove started with a volunteer nonprofit organization,
"Elk Grove Recreation Association", which he originated to promote adult recreation programs. In
1976, Hal was appointed to the Elk Grove Recreation & Park District Board and then to the Cosumnes CSD
Board, where he served a total of 18 years and was instrumental in the development of over 180 acres of parks.
From 1987 to 1994 Hal served on Sacramento´s LAFCO. He has been president of the Elk Grove Chamber,
Active 20-30 Club, and Home Field Advantage, along with several countless other leadership roles in the community.
