Vision
The Cosumnes CSD is a regional leader dedicated to providing superior fire, emergency medical and parks and recreation services that enrich the community and save lives.
Mission
Cosumnes Community Services District Fire Department Parks and Recreation Department
To enhance the quality of life for those residing in, doing business in and visiting the community. The CSD strives to provide balanced services to all areas of the community, while being responsive to individuals. To protect lives, property and environment from fire or other natural and man-made disasters/ emergencies in a courteous, timely and effective manner. Creating community through people, parks and programs.

Top Quality Facilities and Parks Organizational Effectiveness and Efficiency Fiscal Management
The CSD will plan, build and maintain top quality facilities and parks.
  • Design and develop facilities and parks based on community input, user needs and long-range planning.
  • Develop facilities and parks that reflect the environmental, cultural and historic identity of the community.
  • Provide attractive, clean, safe and well-maintained facilities and parks.
 The CSD will emphasize efficiency and accountability in day-to-day operations.
  • Develop training and organization development programs that improve skills, increase morale and foster advancement.
  • Maintain accountability to community through best management practices, programs, services and facilities.
  • Unify the three CSD Departments through centralization of core internal services and the development of efficient work processes.
  • Improve technology infrastructure for staff and customers.
 The CSD will strive to ensure its financial stability and accountability in order to provide high quality services that keep pace with the needs of the community.
  • Seek and improve external funding sources to increase cost recovery streams.
