PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

The Parks and Recreation Department’s vision is:

To provide memorable and healthy experiences through
sustainable parks and recreation services.

We strive to achieve our vision by:

  • Designing and maintaining parks and facilities that meet current and future needs;
  • Offering recreational programs that promote health, fun and lifelong learning; and
  • Providing exceptional service to our customers

The Parks and Recreation Department Administrator, Bob Roessler, oversees a staff of 77 that manages 88 parks, 18 miles of off-street trails, two community centers, four recreation centers, and two aquatics complexes and many recreation, sports and leisure programs.
