CSD Administration Building Remodel Project

In the early morning hours of February 20, 2015, the Cosumnes Community Services District Administration Building suffered significant fire damage. Located at 8820 Elk Grove Blvd., the 94-year-old building was a familiar landmark in the community. While retaining a significant portion of the historically-significant brick exterior walls, much of the damaged roof, building systems and interiors will be replaced with new construction in order to transform the building into contemporary and energy-efficient office space.

MFDB Architects, Inc. developed a comprehensive design plan that will 
better use the existing square footage, modernize the space, and provide amenities that are desirable to staff. Diede Construction, Inc. will begin project construction in June 2017 with an estimated 12-14 month construction period.

Construction Continues

Construction on the Administration Building Remodel Project has continued through the rainy season. Diede Construction, Inc. installed roof trusses and sealed the building up and covered the windows and roof to protect from directional rain. Meanwhile, work continues in the east and west wings with installation of wall panels and rough electrical, and new construction of stairs in the west wing. Concrete wall frames are in place for the first level of the building and crews have installed rebar and anchors. When weather allows, the concrete will be poured to complete the first level walls.
